Justin Guarini Is Begging The Internet For Help

justin guarini

O.G. Idol runner-up turned TV Guide network commentator Justin Guarini has a song he’d like to get on the soundtrack of the Twilight movie sequel, New Moon. But, apparently, he has no idea how to make that happen. Maybe you do? As he announced on his website:

Here’s a song that Tammy Hyler, Shaye Smith, and I wrote specifically for “New Moon”. I’ve set it to some stills, and slapped my vocals on it. If you like it, make sure to spread the word and ask Stephenie Meyer to put it on the soundtrack.

What, no one at the TV Guide Network will give him Stephenie’s digits? Doesn’t he have an agent or something? Check out his fang-baiting power ballad after the jump.

Kelly Clarkson Would Rather Have Lost Idol Than Make Crappy Movie

We know it’s currently #29 on IMDb’s Bottom 100 Movies Ever, but Kelly Clarkson truly, truly can’t stand movie disaster zone From Justin To Kelly even more than the rest of us. Nope, she hates it so much she wishes she’d never won American Idol. Eh?

“When I won Idol, the agreement that we signed was that whoever won had to be in the movie. So when I came to the top two, I was begging not to win. I’ve never in my life wanted to be an actress, ever!” she tells Reveal magazine. We applaud your honesty and self-awareness about the truly terrible flick, Kelly - but, um, might you not be here today if you hadn’t won the show? Then (terrible “joke” alert) your life would truly suck. [Photo: Getty Images]

Jennifer Hudson Wanted To Be A Tattoo Artist

Jennifer Hudson popped into Ellen today to talk about her upcoming tour and the American Idol revealed that had she not become the Grammy and Oscar winning sensation she is today, she would have pursued her surprising plan B.

“My second option was to be a tattoo artist because I like to draw,” Jennifer said. Ellen then joked that not a lot of tattoo artists look like her.

Although the Dreamgirl endured a horrible tragedy earlier this year, some things in her life are still going strong, like her engagement to David Otunga.

“We like to ride bikes,” Jennifer said about what she and her beau like to do for fun. Be careful what you wish for! Ellen rolled out a fabulous tandem bike for her and David to share. [Photo: Getty Images]

Katharine McPhee: American Movie Star?

Katharine McPhee, who started filming You May Not Kiss The Bride in Hawaii yesterday, is trying to buck the trend of former American Idol contestants bombing at the box office — minus Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson, of course. A romcom adventure set in Chicago and Tahiti, McPhee co-stars with TV actor Dave Annable (Brothers and Sisters).

The movie, say its producers, is similar to the ’80s blockbuster hit Romancing the Stone in its “blending of romance, sharp witted humor and on the edge of your seat action.” We think this comparison is a bit lofty. Dave Annable and Katharine McPhee are no Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner — at least, not yet. Plus, writer/director Rob Hedden is behind nothing but bombs. Remember 2007’s The Condemned and Friday the 13th Part VIII?

Still, McPhee, who made a cameo appearance in Ugly Betty and scored a minor role The House Bunny, appears to shine on the set with her wholesome beauty and sweet smile. We could get used to watching her on the big screen. Let’s hope this movie doesn’t go the way of From Justin to Kelly.

Idol Contestant Was The Female Lead In Postal

An Annie, an Osmond and now the star of an Uwe Boll movie. In a perfect capper to the audition portion of American Idol season 8, the judges gave a golden ticket last night to Jackie Tohn of Postal, the instant cult classic currently up for three Razzie Awards.

Tohn has appeared on everything from The Sopranos and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, but her biggest role to date has been Postal’s Faith, the bad-ass barista caught in a battle between a religious hippie cult, Al Qaeda, and Verne Troyer. Children are massacred at a Nazi-themed amusement park, George W. Bush prances through a field with Osama Bin Laden, Dave Foley shows his penis, Troyer is raped by monkeys and director Boll takes a bullet in the crotch. It even opens with a 9/11 joke! We’re sure Paula would love it.

If Tohn makes it big on Idol, expect to see her face slapped on Postal’s DVD cover alongside the terrorists, Troyer and star Zack Ward (Scott Farkus from A Christmas Story!). If you haven’t been lucky enough to see the most offensive movie of 2008, check out the trailer after the jump.
